Parish Junior Choir

Welcome to the Haslemere Parish Junior Choir

The Junior Choir is run by Clive Osgood, Director of Music and Organist at the Parish Church of St Bartholomew’s. Clive is an extremely experienced musician and teacher who has a Master’s degree in Musicology and Composition. He is a successful composer under the Convivium record label as well as a music teacher at Reeds School in Cobham. Clive is supported by Sally Hollyer, Music Lead at St Bartholomew's C of E Primary School in Haslemere, and Liz Chapman, Manager of the renowned Farnham Youth Choir.

All children in school years 3-6 are welcome to come to a rehearsal to see if they would like to join the group. Our choristers sing once a month in the morning service and also perform in occasional concerts or other social events.  The choir are following the Royal College of Church Music syllabus called 'Voice for Life'. Choristers will gain skills in musicianship and singing technique, professionally taught. 



Membership is not by audition, all are welcome and there is no financial commitment to joining this choir, either now or in the future.  This is a unique opportunity for your children to learn to sing with professional tuition, and in a group of friends together.  The choristers are also paid pocket money every half term as a reward for their commitment to the choir, plus a fun trip out together. 



Rehearsals will take place in St Bartholomew’s Church on Tuesdays from 5.00pm – 6.15pm during term time.
