A prayer for the Gift Day:
Heavenly Father, you have given us riches beyond measure. We can only return a fraction of what we owe you; but we ask, Lord, that you will bless our offerings and help us to use them wisely in your service and for your glory. Amen.
The letter and brochure below has been sent to members of the congregation in July 2017, for a Gift Day on 20 August 2017. Please contact the Parish Office if you would like a paper copy with return slip and envelope.
We are privileged to be members of this parish where our faith is nurtured and where we are passing it on through our children to future generations. We have two fine buildings in which to worship (and which need upkeep) and we are committed to reach out to our community and beyond, sharing the Christian faith in word and deed with the wider world, as Christ commissioned his disciples to do. When Bishop Andrew visited us on 28th May, he reminded us that this challenge of living out and sharing faith is the one that every parish must embrace if it is to survive. For this ministry to be maintained and to flourish we need sufficient funds. You will read that there has been a shortfall.
We would like everyone who receives this letter to join with us and feel part of the move to put us back on an even keel on our Gift Day, whatever your level of giving. We commend this brochure to your prayerful consideration.
