Wednesday 28th March TEATIME CONCERT at ST. CHRISTOPHER’S CHURCH THE ARCUS QUARTET Lida Lymi: violin Abel Puustinen: violin Geeta Nazareth: viola Ruth Hallows: cello This concert is designed particularly for elderly or disabled people who may prefer an afternoon event. Priority will be given to them but all are welcome to apply for tickets. The concert starts at 2.45 p.m. PROGRAMME J. F. Haydn: Quartet Op. 76 no. 4 in B flat major F. Mendelssohn: Quartet no. 4 in E minor I. Shostakovich: Quartet no. 7 in F sharp minor The Arcus Quartet formed in 2016 whilst studying at the Royal College of Music, London. Since then the Quartet have participated in masterclasses with Pavel Fischer, the Carducci Quartet and the Castalian Quartet. In 2017 they were fortunate enough to take part in the National Young String Quartet Weekend 2017 where they worked with several of the leading quartet professors including Christoph Richter and Jan Talich. The Arcus Quartet made their Wigmore Hall debut in May 2017 with their performance of Schubert’s Death and the Maiden.
